The Interview

After you have completed the steps on the Fiancé(e) Visa Process on http://usvisas.state.gov,  including paying the necessary fees and submitting the required supporting documents to the National Visa Center (NVC), they will review your file for completeness. Once your case becomes qualified for an interview, NVC will inform the petitioner that the beneficiary, the foreign fiancé(e), is ready to schedule their interview appointment. NVC will provide you with a list of the additional documents you will need for the interview at the Embassy. More information is available here.

The next step in scheduling is for the beneficiary, the foreign fiancé(e), to complete their visa application (Form DS-160) and schedule the appointment for their interview. We will contact you by email once we have received your case from the NVC with instructions on how to schedule your interview. Do not take any action until you have received an email from us with instructions on how to schedule your appointment. Please note that if you schedule an appointment before we have contacted you by email, you will not be interviewed and will need to reschedule.
