In celebration of Women’s History Month, Ambassador and Mrs. Blome received Mayor of Tunis Ms. Souad Abderrahim, Mayor of Carthage Ms. Hayet Bayoudh, and Mayor of La Goulette Ms. Amel Limam along with members of the U.S. Embassy. Ambassador Blome reiterated U.S. commitment to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment both at home and around the world and expressed pride at partnering with Tunisia on these and other human rights issues.
