Renew a Passport

ANNOUNCEMENT: Beginning July 9, 2023, U.S. Embassy Tunis will begin accepting online fee payments for certain adult U.S. passport renewal applications. You will still need to drop off your application in-person at the Embassy but will not need to schedule an appointment slot (please note the drop-off hours are Monday-Thursday from 2:00-3:00 p.m., except when the Embassy is officially closed). Qualifying adult passport renewal applicants may pay the $130 passport renewal fee online via U.S. or international credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer from a U.S.-based bank account, Amazon Pay, or Pay Pal.

Please note that the online fee option is limited to U.S. citizen ADULTS residing in Tunisia and Libya.

Where to Get Photos

The American Embassy assumes no responsibility for the professional ability or integrity of the persons or studios whose names appear in the list given below. The names are listed alphabetically and the order in which they appear has no other significance.

There is a photo booth in the Embassy waiting room available for a fee. Please have Tunisian Dinar coins with you if you plan to use the photo booth at the Embassy. The cost as of July 1, 2023 is 6 Tunisian Dinars and the machine accepts single, 1 TND coins only. The Embassy does not own nor operate the photo booth on our premises and assumes no responsibility for it nor do we recommend it over other available options.
