Tunisian Alumni: Coding for change!

The U.S. Embassy hosted the Young Tunisian Coders Academy (YTCA) at the Information Resource Center (IRC.) YTCA to teach young students the Scratch programming language, introducing basic programming fundamentals and giving them the basic programming skills to create their own interactive stories, games and animations. Thirteen students ages 9 to 16 years old from Tunis and Sfax had the chance to hone their coding skills, as well as to meet U.S. Ambassador to Tunisia Daniel Rubinstein. The YTCA team gave Ambassador Rubinstein a brief overview of their work and accomplishments before launching into a two-hour session of coding and creation.
