Following the Embassy’s efforts to respond to the economic challenges caused by COVID-19, the Political Section’s Assistance Unit, in collaboration with its partners FHI360, Education for Employment, the Financial Services Volunteer Corps, Action Positive, and Rawafed association, within their respective projects “Collaborative Actions for Handicrafts Exports”, “Supporting Job Creation for Young Tunisians from Marginalized Communities “, “Chambers of Commerce”, “Tunisian Accountability and Political Participation”, and “Jadwa” provided food boxes to 520 needy families from 11 governorates, and prepared iftar meals for 165 medical staff from the governorate of Medenine. These initiatives come as a mutual effort of the U.S. Embassy and its partners to embed and apply the American and Tunisian values and as a symbol of appreciation to all the medical and paramedical personnel who have been working at the frontlines of the COVID-19 response.
