SUSI and Access alumna Oumaima Tayari made a presentation to 30 Access students at the school Le Monde des Langues Bab Saadoun about her experience as a participant in the SUSI for Student Leaders on Civic Engagement program. Oumaima talked about the qualities of a leader and offered some tips for making an effective speech.
During the event, Oumaima and the Access students watched videos about effective public speaking and participated in a number of activities to help prepare the Access students for their graduation in December. Afterwards, some of the Access students gave brief speeches applying the tips they had learned during the session.
We applaud Oumaima’s initiative, a wonderful example of the types of cultural enhancement activities that Access service providers offer to Access students.
