Security Message for U.S. Citizens: Personal Security Reminder

The U.S. Embassy in Tunis, Tunisia informs American citizens that due to protests occurring in Tunisia focused on the United States, the U.S. Embassy will be closing early on Friday, December 8, 2017.

American citizens are reminded to review their personal security plans; remain aware of their surroundings, including local events; and monitor local news for updates.  Maintain a high-level of vigilance, take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security and follow instructions of local authorities.  Avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
