Public Affairs Officer Erica Thibault traveled to Sousse this week for the launch of a unique food diplomacy project, Ahlan 2.0, implemented in partnership with the Tunisian organization at The New Medina. This innovative cultural project will include a series of residencies and workshops that will invite prominent American chefs to experience Tunisia’s rich culinary traditions. The January 12 launch focused on Tunisia’s olive oil sector and brought Tunisian olive oil exporters together with American industry experts, including representatives from the North American Olive Oil Association and the olive oil supply chain app Clever Harvest. The United States ranks as one of Tunisia’s top olive oil importers, and we are proud to strengthen economic ties between our two countries through the Ahlan 2.0 project.
