Notice of Funding Opportunity: Tunisian Health Center for University Research Excellence & Sustainability (CURES)

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Office of Assistance Coordination and the United States Embassy in Tunisia announce a $5 million Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to improve scientific research in Tunisia to better prevent and treat non-communicable diseases (NCDs).  The project will establish a simulation center at the University of Sfax, Faculty of Medicine (SFM) that allows doctors and medical students to apply research and test new technologies and treatments.

A successful project will also generate income for research and encourage the development of healthcare technology in Tunisia through linkages with entrepreneurs, investors, and U.S. institutions.

Applications will be accepted only from organizations who have previously operated in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region or who have personnel that have previously worked in Tunisia and can demonstrate the ability to work with SFM and the Tunisian Ministry of Health (MoH).

The deadline to apply for this opportunity is July 2, 2021. The announcement is available on Grants.gov and SAMS Domestic.
