Notice of Funding Opportunity: Tunisia Supporting the Inclusion of Vulnerable Communities (IDMEJ)

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs Office of Assistance Coordination and the United States Embassy in Tunisia announce a $4million Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to empower vulnerable communities in Tunisia by promoting social and institutional reforms that grant greater access to resources for victims of gender-based violence (GBV) and people with disabilities.

The first objective of the NOFO is to strengthen the capacity of Tunisian institutions to support GBV victims and to implement laws that protect their rights. The second objective is to improve the Tunisian government’s data collection and management to better distribute disability benefits to eligible citizens. The third objective is to raise awareness among GBV victims and people with disabilities regarding their rights and increase their capacity to exercise these rights.

Applications will be accepted only from organizations that have previously operated in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region or have personnel who have previously worked in Tunisia and can demonstrate the ability to work with the relevant government and civil institutions.

The deadline to apply for this opportunity is June 1, 2021.

The announcement is available on Grants.gov and SAMS Domestic.
