USAID/Tunisia has become aware of fraudulent online links and sites that use our logo and name to offer the service of facilitating a USAID grant application for a fee. All such sites, organizations, and links are not authorized by USAID and are illegally using our logo and name to defraud individuals and businesses seeking USAID assistance. USAID, authorized partners, consultants, and intermediaries, do not collect nor charge fees to submit USAID grant applications. Any individual or organization trying to collect or charge a fee to submit a USAID grant application is potentially a scam.
If you have been affected by this fraudulent activity, USAID recommends you report it to local authorities.
What To Know About USAID Grants
- Never share your financial or personal information with anyone who contacts you. USAID will never call, text, message you on social media, or email to ask for your bank account, or credit card number.
- Don’t pay for a list of government grants. The only place you can find a list of all available federal grants is at grants.gov. And that list is free.
- If you paid a scammer, act quickly. If you think you’ve sent money to a government impersonator like one of these grant scammers, contact the company you used to send the money.
