Lebanese American Writer, Artist, and Actress Leila Buck Conducted a Workshop at the Youth Complex in Sfax

Lebanese American writer, artist, and actress Leila Buck conducted a workshop at the Youth Complex in Sfax for primary school teachers on the role of performing arts in education.  Fifty-five teachers enthusiastically participated in the interactive event, conducted in Arabic and French.  A participatory approach enabled attendees to grasp the importance of dramatic arts education in stimulating creativity in students and teachers.

Ms. Buck emphasized that this type of educational approach also gives students an outlet for their thoughts, visions, and dreams. The workshop, held in partnership with the Tunisian association Festival de la Lecture Sfax.
