The United States remains a committed partner to Tunisia by working with its government, private sector, and civil society as they lay the foundations for the country’s future.  Since 2011, The United States has supported Tunisia’s democratic transition with economic, security,and governance assistance totaling more than $865 million.  U.S. support focuses on strengthening the Tunisian business climate to support the growth of enterprises, jobs, and bilateral trade; bolstering security capacity to mitigate internal and external threats, and fostering inclusive governance and human rights protections.
