The Tunisian Ministry of Culture hosted Public Affairs Counselor Michael Macy and a Public Affairs section team at the Raqqada National Museum of Islamic Art in Kairaouan. Housed in a former presidential palace, the museum boasts a unique collection of Islamic art masterpieces dating back to the 9th and 10th centuries. Following a guided tour, the PA team visited the museum’s restoration section, where specialists delicately restore ancient manuscripts and Korans.
