On November 4, WoLTech association held the closing ceremony of a U.S Embassy funded small grant project called “Tunisia Mentoring Council” (TMC). TMC is a mentoring program that supports female entrepreneurs in technology. The project linked women leaders in technology with young women with project ideas for six months of regular mentorship and coaching sessions. TMC also hosted an “Entrepreneurship Bus,” which brought these twelve women together in a unique training camp on entrepreneurship and soft skills. The closing event celebrated the graduation of the participants, who in turn shared their experiences and highlighted how partaking in the program helped them to refine their project ideas.
WoLTech is a Tunisian association created by alumnae of the State Department’s TechWomen program. For more information about the program and the other exchanges available to Tunisians, see here.
