Chargée d’Affaires, a.i. Natasha Franceschi attended the opening ceremony of the Ghriba pilgrimage in Djerba yesterday, inaugurated by Prime Minister Najla Bouden. Djerba is home to one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world dating back more than 2,500 years. This annual pilgrimage is a testament to Tunisia’s multicultural heritage and interfaith tolerance. “We were honored to participate in this important cultural event as a reflection of our shared commitment to freedom of religion and peaceful coexistence.” – Chargée Franceschi
