Ambassador Speaks at Star-Studded Closing Ceremony of Heros Build Project

On March 7, the El Makhzen Culturel Association organized the closing Ceremony of the Embassy –funded Heroes Build II project, at Cine Madart in Carthage. The project provided 10 young film students from throughout the country with expert training and equipment to make short documentaries or fictional films to illustrate their vision of Tunisia. The young filmmakers were mentored by renowned professional film producers and actors before creating their own short films. Ambassador Rubinstein joined an audience of Tunisian actors, filmmakers, and an enthusiastic public to watch the 10 films, which were critiqued by a jury of experts.  The top three films were awarded prizes of gold, silver and bronze keys.  In his remarks, Ambassador Rubinstein highlighted that the U.S. Embassy is proud to support this project, and always looks for opportunities to partner with Tunisia’s youth and artists to raise their voices. Congratulations to all the participants, and we wish them well as they continue to showcase their vision of Tunisia!
