Ambassador Donald Blome Visits the Royal Plants Project in Haouria

Ambassador Blome recently traveled to Haouria to meet with the team at Royal Plants, a small business that benefited from U.S. government assistance through USAID’s JOBS program.  Royal Plants is doing its part to help Tunisia’s economy rebound and create new jobs by expanding production and improving the quality of seedlings sold to Tunisian farmers throughout the country.

In the agricultural sector alone, the U.S. government has helped over 6,400 small businesses increase sales and exports by 490 million TND and create more than 11,400 new jobs.   The United States is proud to invest in Tunisia’s economic future through USAID’s $69.5 million JOBS project, which is helping Tunisian small businesses and farmers across the country to increase their sales, and create new employment opportunities in their communities.
