Ambassador Blome visited the Governor of Jendouba, Mr. Ali Marmouri, as well as the Mayor and other Tunisian government representatives of the region. This was followed by a press conference, in which he stressed that the U.S. is seeking to develop bilateral cooperation and boost the regional partnership in several sectors, especially agricultural training and regional development to meet the needs of the locals.

Ambassador Blome Shows Support to Young Entrepreneurs In Jendouba
Ambassador Blome visited a young agricultural entrepreneur who is a beneficiary of the US Government’s Mashrou3i project. During the visit to Jendouba, the Ambassador and representatives of USAID (United States Agency for International Development) met Hayfa Khalfaoui, a young beneficiary of the Mashrou3i project. Ambassador Blome Visit to Babouch Village in Ain Drahem
Ambassador Blome tried local products from Jendouba and met mother and daughter co-op presidents Noura Nouioui and Ri Hemy. They represent the “SMSA Béniane Fountains” and “GDA Pure Nature” cooperatives, which produce natural oil products. Their business has expanded thanks to US Government assistance.
